some old stuff

There's so much stuff I haven't posted! Time has gotten away from me. Here's a recap of some of the highlights!

I made half of a cake for baby girl's 6 month bday! We ate it in the great outdoors and had a gay ol' time.
I made her this rattle. Nothing like a mouth full of felt!
Look at her pretty little candy striper dress! Her pal Elvia got it for her! It's scrumptious!

This was her second time eating solid food! It was rice cereal. She's jumped way past that now. Her faves are bananas, butternut squash, and carrots. Her least faves seem to be brown rice porridge, green beans and sweet potatoes. I found the green beans particularily gross.

Here she is at the doctor's office!

Here she is putting in a day at the office! That's what we call her exersaucer.
Notice how serious and gettin-down-to-business she looks.

She likes wooshing around in her bouncer, too. She doesn't get as crazy as I wish she did, though. I remember seeing babies go nuts in their Johnny Jumpers when I was a kid. Maybe those were way more bouncy and dangerous.

Here's some pix from grandma's last visit with baby girl. Even though she doesn't look too thrilled, she's actually really ecstatic and is just trying to play it cool!

Check out the snazzy costume I made for my little cupcake! It kinda looks like an ice cream cone....
It must be a very comfy costume cause baby girl got weirdly serious on the way to her first Halloween party and then almost immediately fell asleep.

I think I'm really perfecting my halloween cupcake technique. I whipped these out in record time.

One early morning, we decided to trek out to Angeles forest for a tiny hike and it was way more nipster than we thought it would be! Of course I felt like the worst momma ever cause I forgot to bring a warm hat for her along with other winter essentials! We're in LA! We're not prepared for anything but moderate weather!
I think I did a pretty good job of doing some warmy snuggles and keeping baby girl cozy. It warmed up eventually and we all took in a view at the top of Mt. Wilson So unimpressed.

Here we are at little Jade's 1st birthday party! Baby girl has a party dress on!

I think all eyes were on the pinata breaking.
The partay was at Griffith Park near a playground called Shane's inspiration.
Lately baby girl has a more active social life than we do! We seem to constantly be going to baby parties. I love it.
